Book Beginnings on Friday is a meme hosted by Becky at Page Turners.
Anyone can participate; just share the opening sentence of your current read, making sure that you include the title and author so others know what you're reading. If you like, share with everyone why you do, or do not, like the sentence.
"A cemetery. No. No, no, no! How had he ended up here?"
Intertwined

"Trust me when I say that I usually lead a pretty ordinary life."
Glazed Murder

I like that opening from Intertwined. Gets the reader to want answers to the same question.
ReplyDeleteIm not really a fan of the first opening line, but the second one works really well! Hope you're enjoying them. That donut makes me want chocolate

I have a pet peeve about opening sentences that are not sentences. So "A cemetery" just doesn't cut it for me. :)
ReplyDeleteThe donut shop one is more to my liking.
Here is my opener on Rose City Reader.
I love the second one :) Such a cute cover too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my Book Beginning Friday :)
