"Seven Days for an Eternity" by Marc Levy

Title: Seven Days for an Eternity

(Unfortunately, this book still haven't been published in English. I read it from my own copy in Macedonian, which has exactly the same cover above, only of course in Macedonian.)

Original Title: Sept jours pour une éternité

Author: Marc Levy

My rating: 5 of 5

My Summary:

 HE has a devilish charm...

SHE has the power of the angels...

To put an end to their eternal rivalry, God and Lucifer decide on the ultimate challenge...

They send their best agents on a mission...

Lucas and Zofia have seven days on Earth to overcome the other side, and that will decide whether the Good or the Evil will rule the humans...

By holding this absurd bet, God and Lucifer had foreseen everything, except one thing...

...that the angel & the demon would meet...

My Thoughts on the Book:

This was the first Marc Levy book I've read, long before I started blogging, and yeah I fell in love with it. Since then I've read it a few times, and I think this was my 4th time (although I might be wrong & it's the 5th). Anyway, I haven't re-read it until now since I've started blogging (and I've been blogging for two & a half years now) so yeah it's been probably at least 3 years since the last time I read this book.

And now after reading it again I have one word that I don't think I've ever thought about this book before: swoon-worthy! Yeah, I know :) I rarely swoon, but I swooned more then once on some of the things said between Lucas & Zofia.

I fell in love with this book once more, and I was reminded why this book was one of my favs & why I've been recommending it a lot here (even borrowed my copy a few times to friends), and why I love Marc Levy's writing style, he just has that unique way with words, that's why I love his books so much! And although I knew that, and I remembered the story in this book (except for the swoon-worthy quotes) I still couldn't put it down & stop reading it.

This book was once again intriguing, fun, sweet, sad (even heart-breaking - yeah, I got tears in my eyes) and romantic and funny and it will keep you on the edge of your sit with anticipation while cheering for both Lucas & Zofia. Also, it's one of those books that are worth re-reading because of those tiny details (or should I say clues) that you might have missed the first time, and that add charm to the story.

I won't go into details about the story, although I really want to, but if I start I won't be able to stop myself writing about my favourite parts, which will have big spoilers, but the summary above (which I translated myself using my tiny knowledge of French from the original description, Google Translate & the description on the back of my own copy) tells the basic storyline, we follow alternatively both Lukas & Zofia, with a rare & short change to the secondary characters. Also, I think I have to mention that this isn't your standard adult paranormal romance, it's something quite different.

So, although this book still haven't been translated in English, I know it has been translated in many other languages, so if you can get yourself a copy, do that right away, because I highly recommend this book!!!

  2. YES! Finally someone around the blogosphere who read and loved this book! *high five* I read it 2 or 3 years ago as well (in Romanian:))), and I think it was my first angel/demon book ever, but Gosh, I loved it sooo much!<3 It was indeed sweet and fun - I loved the teasing and the banter between the main characters. Hmmm... I might need to re-read it now, years of reading paranormals, blogging and reviewing later. I don't think I realized at the time how swoon worthy Lucas was either!:))

    Great review!<3

    1. Hey, it was my first angel & demon book, too :) I hadn't realised that until now, but I didn't read paranormal then yet :)
And yeah, you should definitely read it again, I loved their banter also, and my fav parts were after they found out both who they are, they were just so sweet & yeah swoon-worthy, lol I want to read it again :)

Have you read any of Marc Levy's other books?
