I haven't done this meme in months & now I decided to share the first sentences of the 2 books I'm reading.

from James Rollins's Sandstorm:

"Harry Masterson would be dead in thirteen minutes."

I like this opening sentence, because it shows that something interesting & mysterious will happen even in the 1st chapter (especially if you've already read other books by James Rollins, so you'll know why to expect mysterious. I love his books).

"Riley Blackthorne rolled her eyes."

I know that this sentence doesn't show it, but this book starts with really fun chapter! Riley actually rolls her eyes to a demon. :) So far I read only 101 pages & I already laughed out loud & cried with this book. I'm finishing Sandstorm now & than I can't wait to return to this one. I'm loving it!

No Book Beginnings on Friday this week, but I still decided to do this meme! As you all know, tomorrow is Dewey's 24-Hour Read-a-Thon and although I've chosen the books I'll read, I can't decide with which one to start! So, I'll post the first sentences of the books & you can tell me if you've read them and which one to read first! That's how I hope you'll help me decide :) I'll also link them up to goodreads, if you'd like to read their summaries!

This week I decided to share the first sentence of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which as you probably allready know is so funny & fun to read & I'll share the first 2 sentences from the prologue of The Rake by Suzanne Enoch & the first sentence from the 1st chapter, too. I've loved every Suzanne Enoch' s book I've read, but I think that this one is the funniest so far & it'll be one of my favorites! I'll probably finish both books today! They're so much fun!
