Top 5 Sundays (on Monday): Favorite Sci-Fi (Space Opera) Books!

Top 5 Sundays is a weekly feature with a different bookish theme hosted by Larissa at her blog Welcome to Larissa's Bookish Life

This week's theme is Favorite Sci-Fi (Space Opera) Books.

You can join HERE!

So, My Top 5 Favorite Sci-Fi (Space Opera) Books are:

#1 - Leviathan Wakes by James S. A. Corey

Leviathan Wakes was one of my most fav reads in 2011, and it was definitely mind-blowing, and my most fav space opera book! I still need to read the sequel, hopefully I'll get to it this year, before the 3rd book is out :)

#2 - Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

I can't recommend enough Ready Player One. It's one of my most fav books ever, as well as my most fav sci-fi book. Ok, so this one isn't space opera, but it is sci-fi, and I had to include it :) I can read it over & over, and never get enough of it :)

#3 - Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card

There's a reason why Ender's Game is a sci-fi classic, and it was definitely amazing, and yeah, I guess this is a space opera, too ;)

#4 - The Pearl Wars by Nick James

This was such a great YA sci-fi book, really entertaining, although I guess not really a space opera ;)

#5 - Earth Unaware by Orson Scott Card & Aaron Johnston

And another Orson Scott Card space opera ;) This is the first book in the First Formic War series, which is a prequel to the Ender Wiggin series, and I loved it & can't wait for the sequel.

  1. I missed my post this week. I have Ender's Game on my shelf to read. I haven't picked it up just yet because I'm not sure if it's for me, but you call it amazing and it makes me wonder if I should definitely give it a try. Old follower :D Jaclyn @ JC's Book Haven

  2. Some great choices here. I really loved Ender's Game, but not the rest of the series. And thanks for reminding me of Leviathan Wakes, I'd intended to read it but sort of forgotten about it.
