Bout of Books 6.0 Read-a-Thon: Wrap Up!

Bout of Books Read-a-Thon

The Bout of Books Read-a-Thon was hosted by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal.

Although I love read-a-thons, usually I don't set a lot of goals for them, but this time I decided to see how I'll do with goals, and I did great. From the 11 goals I set for myself (my goals post) I completed 10.

~ My goal was to read 1000 pages & I read 1476 pages.

~ I also completed my goal to finish 3 previously started books:

~ I also completed my goal to read 4 novellas:

~ 2 of my goals were to read the designated chapters for this week's Poison Princess & Divergent Read-a-Longs, and I completed both of these goals.

~ I also completed my goal to read from start to finish one book:

~ I participated for the whole Monday twitter chat & half the time on the one on Saturday (first I was late & then I got interrupted a couple of times from both friends and family)

~ I participated in 5 of the mini challenges

~ one of my goals was to sign up for 5 2013 reading challenges & I completed it

~ and one of my goals was to participated in 3 of the weekly memes. I usually participate in a few of them every week, but not all of them each week, but this week I participated in 7 :)

~ and my last goal was to review all the books I'll read/finish for the read-a-thon, and this one was the only goal I didn't complete, I reviewed only half of them.

What else I've been reading for the read-a-thon?

I also read a little from The Hobbit (I'm re-reading it) & I started Rachel Carter's So Close to You - this one was actually the book I planned to read from start to finish, but after I read a 3rd of it, and I still couldn't get into it (it was just a little bit too predictable), I decided to put it aside for the time being & try something else, and Sucks to Be Me was great read-a-thon choice, really fun :)
Oh, and almost forgot, I also re-read Free Four - the short story from Four's PoV from Veronica Roth's Divergent. Since I'm re-reading Divergent for the read-a-long, when I read the part that's in the short story, I had to re-read Free Four again, too :)

So, I think that's about it. If you'd like to check out my daily reading progress, you can do that HERE, and if you'd like to check out my updated goals post, you can do that HERE.

I'd like to thank both Amanda & Kelly for hosting the read-a-thon, as well as all the challenge hosts & everyone that stopped by!!!

  4. Wow, this is amazing! You had a really successful week. I think page count goals are great for read-a-thons. I usually set those but didn't this time, but you rocked it! I always find it hard to review during a read-a-thon, but maybe you can catch up this week on those few you didn't do. Congrats to you!
