"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week a couple of new series by one of my favourite authors Gena Showalter. I love her books, and these two sound like a beginning of two great series (although Angels of the Dark is actually a spin-off of one of my favourite series Lords of the Underworld) and I can't wait to read them!!!
Wicked Nights
(Angels of the Dark, book 1)
by
Gena Showalter
Publication date:
June 26th, 2012
Summary:
From the New York Times bestselling author who brought you the Lords of the Underworld comes a dark, seductive new series featuring angels poised on the brink of destruction....
Leader of the most powerful army in the heavens, Zacharel has been deemed nearly too dangerous, too ruthless-and if he isn't careful, he'll lose his wings. But this warrior with a heart of ice will not be deterred from his missions, at any cost...until a vulnerable human tempts him with a carnal pleasure he's never known before.
Accused of a crime she did not commit, Annabelle Miller has spent four years in an institution for the criminally insane. Demons track her every move, and their king will stop at nothing to have her. Zacharel is her only hope for survival, but is the brutal angel with a touch as hot as hell her salvation-or her ultimate damnation?
Alice in Zombieland(White Rabbit Chronicles, book #1)byGena Showalter
Publication date:September 25th, 2012
Summary:
She won't rest until she's sent every walking corpse back to its grave. Forever.
Had anyone told Alice Bell that her entire life would changed course between one heartbeat and the next, she would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. But that's all it took. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone.
Her father was right. The monsters are real...
To avenge her family, Ali must learn to fight the undead. To survive, she must learn to trust the baddest of the bad boys, Cole Holland. But Cole has secrets of his own, and if Ali isn't careful, those secrets might just prove to be more dangerous than the zombies...
Great choices I want to read them both!!
ReplyDeleteI've only read one Gena Showalter, and it was quite good. Not sure I'm up for angels or a YA adventure, but nice to see more from her.
