Summary:

WHEN HARRY MET SALLY . . . for teens, from romantic comedy star Elizabeth Eulberg.

For Macallan and Levi, it was friends at first sight. Everyone says guys and girls can't be just friends, but these two are. They hang out after school, share tons of inside jokes, their families are super close, and Levi even starts dating one of Macallan's friends. They are platonic and happy that way.

Eventually they realize they're best friends -- which wouldn't be so bad if they didn't keep getting in each other's way. Guys won't ask Macallan out because they think she's with Levi, and Levi spends too much time joking around with Macallan, and maybe not enough time with his date. They can't help but wonder . . . are they more than friends or are they better off without making it even more complicated?

From romantic comedy superstar Elizabeth Eulberg comes a fresh, fun examination of a question for the ages: Can guys and girls ever really be just friends? Or are they always one fight away from not speaking again -- and one kiss away from true love?

My Thoughts on the Book:

Better Off Friends is a delightful story about 2 people that become friends, best friends, and then fall in love. I loved it so much! It was highly entertaining, sweet, funny & so, so cute.

From the way it was told, with the alternative PoVs, to their commentaries between the chapters (which I adored), all of that made up for one lovable story.

I think mostly it had to do with the chemistry between Macallan & Levi, and I'm not talking about their boy-girl chemistry, but their friendship chemistry. They just clicked (though not at first sight), and it was delight to go on the "adventure" with them. I loved seeing the way their friendship developed, the way they became best friends, and wanting for them to take the next step, and becoming something more. It was a wonderful story, with lots of heart, and I loved every second of it. It was almost perfect.

If you're a fan of sweet & fun YA contemporary stories, with lovable characters, that will make you laugh, swoon & at the end makes you happy every time you think about it, then Better Off Friends is the book for you, and I highly recommend it!
