So, My Top Ten Books I Read In 2012 are:
1. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
No need for an explanation here, simply amazing & so, so magical!
2. Eon & Eona by Alison Goodman
Ok, so in this case I cheat a little, but I can't choose only one, I see both books as part of one whole, and they were both amazing!!!
3. I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak
Absolutely amazing! Different from The Book Thief, but Markus Zusak's amazing writing & imagination makes him a must-read author. So, if you still haven't tried his books, what are you waiting for?
4. The Vanishing Game by Kate Kae Myers
Amazing YA mystery. I didn't have any expectations, it sounded interesting when I saw it on NetGalley, I got approved, saw a few great ratings, didn't read any spoilers, and when I read this book, it blew me away! I can't wait to read the author's next book & this one for me was one of the best debuts in 2012!
5. American Gods by Neil Gaiman
Yeah, I finally read it :) I've been postponing reading American Gods for years now, it was the only Neil Gaiman book I hadn't read, although he was already my #1 author. So, what can I say, it was everything I expected & more...
6. The Hallowed Ones by Laura Bickle
I'll use the word I always use for this book: Creeptastic!
7. The Kingdom by Amanda Stevens
Ok, so the 3rd book The Prophet was also amazing, and the 1st book The Restorer was on my Top 10 of 2011 list, so yeah I'm a big fan of the series, but the 2nd book The Kingdom is my most fav, and it was definitely one of the best books I read this year!
8. Seeds of Rebellion by Brandon Mull
I loved the 1st book in the Beyonders series, so of course I was expecting the sequel to be great, too, but it was so much more then I expected, it was so amazing, and now I have high expectations for the last book in this amazing MG fantasy series!
9. Midwinterblood by Marcus Sedgwick
Midwinterblood is one of those unique & amazing books that stays with you long after you've finished it, such a beautiful, yet heartbreaking & unforgettable tale.
10. Discount Armageddon by Seanan McGuire
What can I say about Discount Armageddon? I love it, love it, love it! I loved everything about this book, it was really entertaining, with great storyline, great characters & I'm dying to read more adventures Verity &/or the Price family will have :)
