Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.
This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists
here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with
other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists.
Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers
here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome
to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the
Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the
Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If
you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have
fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.
Ok,
so I have a lot more then 10 series I've started, and although I've enjoyed the first one or two books in the series, and planned to continue the series, I still haven't read the rest of them.
So, My Top Ten Series I Haven't Finished (in no particular order) are:
1. Pendragon by D. J. MacHale
I read the first book in the Pendragon series The Merchant of Death years ago, and although I loved it, I just never returned to the series. Every year I say I'll read them this year, and I never do. The series has 10 books, so I have 9 more to go, although I'll have to re-read The Merchant of Death first.
2. Ender Wiggin by Orson Scott Card
Although I loved Ender's Game and it's one of my favorites and one of the best books I've read, I still haven't returned to the series, so I have a lot to catch up, the 5 books in this series, as well as the other 5 books in the Ender's Shadow series!
3. The Caster Chronicles by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl
I've read Beautiful Creatures over 2 years ago, but at the time the 2nd book still wasn't published, and when it was, I just never got around to it. Now in October the last book will be published, so I'm planning to catch up on the series. I'm actually re-reading the first book right now (since I'm writing this post in advance, I will probably have finished it when this goes up), and I'm loving it once more, so I'll definitely continue the series soon.
4. The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher
I've read only Storm Front a few years ago, and although I enjoyed it a lot, I never returned to the series, and now there are 13 books published so far, so I have quite to catch up...
5. Avery Cates by Jeff Somers
Another series where I enjoyed a lot the first book in the series, in this case The Electric Church, and although I planned to continue the series, I still haven't. The series has a total of 5 books, so I have 4 more to go.
6. Sigma Force by James Rollins
I love James Rollins' books, but I'm really behind on his Sigma Force series. So far I've read only the first 2 books: Sandstorm & Map of Bones, so I have 6 more to go until I catch up!
7. Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
I've read only the first 2 books in the Artemis Fowl series a few years ago, but I still haven't read the rest, so they piled up & so far there are a total of 8 books published, so I have 6 more until I catch up. No idea when I'll do that...
8. Laurel by Aprilynne Pike
The same thing like The Caster Chronicles - I read Wings & I enjoyed it a lot, but at the time the 2nd book still wasn't published, and when it was I never got around to reading it. Now the series is finished, so hopefully I'll read the 3 books I still haven't read soon.
9. Howl's Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
I loved Howl's Moving Castle so much, it's one of my favorites, but I still haven't read the other 2 books!
10. The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey
I loved The Monstrumologist - the first book in the series, but I still haven't read the other 2 books. But, I know there will be one more, which I think it will be the last, so I might wait until that one is out & then finish the series.
i hope you like the books
ReplyDeleteOh I forgot about beautiful creatures. But I haven't finished the first book, not to talk about series! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm actually planning to read them soon, now that I'm done with re-reading of BC, and the movie trailer made me even more excited :)
DeleteMaybe I'll give them another chance, cause I believe all will be translated into Serbian. We'll see. :)
DeleteBeautiful Creatures is on my list of books that I still haven't started. And I must admit that I've never even read Ender's Game. I keep hearing good things so need to remedy that eventually.
ReplyDeleteYeah, you should, Ender's Game is amazing.
DeleteThanks for visiting me!
