Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created & hosted @ The Broke and the Bookish.

So, My Top Ten Books I Wish Had Sequels (in no particular order) are:
#1 - Stardust by Neil Gaiman
I adore Stardust, and I'd love for another story set in the world Neil Gaiman had created. Not with Tristan, his story is over, but with different characters, YES!
#2 - The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
Another Neil Gaiman book that I totally adore, and even though Bod's story is over, I'd love another book set in the world Neil had created, hopefully with one of the supernatural characters, like Silas, I'd love a book with Silas!
#3 - Poison by Bridget Zinn
I absolutely loved Poison, so yeah, I would've loved a sequel with these characters & set in this world.
#4 - The Near Witch by Victoria Schwab
Victoria Schwab's debut novel The Near Witch was great, and her writing style is amazing, and even though I was happy that she surprised us with the amazing prequel novella The Ash-Born Boy, I would love another book set in that world, no matter if it's with the MCs of The Near Witch or just set in their world.
#5 - Howl's Castle trilogy by Diana Wynne Jones
I absolutely adore Wizard Howl, Sophie, Calcifer and the other characters, and every glimpse of them in both Castle in the Air & House of Many Ways was lovely, and I can only wish there were more books with them, because I know I would never get enough of them.
#6 - Nightmare Academy trilogy by Dean Lorey
I absolutely adore this MG trilogy, the world and all the characters in it, and I can only wish that Dean Lorey decides to write another one.
#7 - Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima
Even though The Crimson Crown is one of the most amazing last books in series, I would love for another series set in the Seven Realms. Not with the same characters (their ending was perfect), and not in the realms we already saw in these books, but maybe in Carthis or one of the other realms, because the world Cinda Williams Chima has created is magnificent, and I can only hope for a spin-off :) After all, she decided to write 2 more Heir Chronicles books, so I hope she'll decide to do this, too :D
#8 - John Cleaver trilogy by Dan Wells
Ok, so this trilogy was absolutely perfect, and I was happy with the way it ended, but that ending has potential for a spin-off, maybe this time as an adult series, but I can only wish for it...
#9 - Curse Workers trilogy by Holly Black
The same thing here, I loved the way the trilogy ended, but because I loved the characters & the world Holly Black created, I would love for more books, no matter if they're with the same characters, or only set in the Curse Workers world. (And yeah, I'm still protesting the cover change by using this cover, even though I read the book with the new cover.)
#10 - Witch in the House by Jenna McKnight
Witch in the House was supposed to be first book in a trilogy, but the author got ill, so yeah, she's not really writing, so no sequels :( I can only wish she gets better & write those, I'm still hoping. I read Witch in the House over 3 years ago, and it was sweet, fun, lovely & romantic, with great characters, so yeah, I would love for the secondary characters to get their own books.
What about you?
Leave me your TTT links!
I just bought The Graveyard Book. I've heard great things about it, so I'm excited to read it. I'll have to check out the Dan Wells books. I'm not familiar with those. Great list!

Thanks, Natalie, I hope you'll enjoy The Graveyard Book :) And you definitely have to check out the John Cleaver books :D
DeleteOh Stardust! I love that book and the movie as well! It would've been interesting to see what Tristan and his queen got up to, especially after they retired from ruling.
ReplyDeleteYeah, both the book & the movie are great :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Some good choices there! Stardust looks very interesting to me. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by :)
DeleteOoh nice ones!! Never read Stardust but I saw the movie once on TV and it was pretty good! A lot of the others are new to me as well!
ReplyDeleteA shame about your last pick with the author being sick! That happened to me once as well with an author's series, but luckily the book was only delayed a year. You're already at 3! I feel your pain--had me a couple years wait for another series to be finished once since the publishers had dropped it, took them I think 3 or 4 years to pick it up again! It was an insanely long wait--and hope that the author herself is doing well too!
Here's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Yeah, it's not that bad the waiting, since it stands as stand alone book, but I loved it so much, and the secondary characters, so I want more.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Oooh Neil Gaiman yes. Him and his stand alones KILL ME!
ReplyDeleteGreat list.
Cheers for visiting my Top Ten this week.
Definitely, I could've totally fill most of this list with his books, but I decided to limit myself to only these 2 ;)
DeleteThanks for stopping back :D
A million yeses for more in the Curseworkers series! I loved being in that world and there is just so much more she could do with it!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I wish she will return to it some time :D
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I haven´t read any of those books but I want to read a Neil Gaiman book or The Curse Workers trilogy. Great list!
