Wicked Valentine's Read-a-Thon: Kick Off + Updates + Mini Challenges + Wrap Up!

So, it's that time again, a time for a WW Read-a-Thon, this time a Valentine edition!

The Wicked Valentine's Read-a-Thon is hosted by April & Bex @ My Shelf Confessions!

The read-a-thon started today @ 12:01 AM EST (06:01 AM for me) & will end on February 14 @ 11:59 PM EST (for me @ 05:59 AM on February 15).

For more info & to sign up, visit the post HERE
The sign up will be open until midnight EST on February 11.

On Twitter as always we'll use #WWReadathon.

And of course there will be 2 Twitter Parties:
- Saturday 4-6 PM EST (10-12 PM for me)
- Tuesday 8-10 PM EST (Wednesday 2-4 AM for me)

So, that's about it. There will also be daily mini challenges, hopefully I'll participate in a few of them & I'll try to make to both Twitter Parties, they're always so much fun :D

As for what I'll be reading?

Hopefully I'll read these two. I already started The Desert Spear yesterday, but I read only 112 pages, and I have 660 pages to go, so this one is on the chunkier side, so my 1st goal is to finish it, and then to read its sequel The Daylight War, but if I have enough time for read, this shouldn't be a problem ;)

I do have some other books lined up, and after I finish these, I'll probably pick up a romance, if the read-a-thon isn't over ;) because after all it's a Valentine read-a-thon ;)

I hope everyone will have lots of fun this read-a-thon, so happy reading everyone!!!

Update #1:

I finished The Desert Spear, and now I'm reading The Daylight War. I also participated in the Clue to My Heart Mini Challenge & the 1st Twitter Party!

Valentine's Day Ball mini challenge:

For the ball, I'll wear this dress:

...my date will be Jeff Martini:

...and I'll arrive in a moving castle:

 Update #2:

I finished The Daylight War by Peter V. Brett (it was amazing) & now I'm reading All Those Things We Never Said by Marc Levy.

Final Update a.k.a Wrap Up:

I read the 2 books I've set out to read - I finished The Desert Spear & I read The Daylight War - both books are part of Peter V. Brett's Demon Cycle series. I also read Marc Levy's All Those Things We Never Said & I started Marina by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, but I read only half of it.

I participated in only 2 mini challenges & only 1 of the twitter parties. When it comes to the reading, I did great, I just wish I could've participated more in the mini challenges, on Twitter & I've done more blog hopping :( but as you know, life gets in the way... Let's hope I'll do better next time.

One big THANK YOU to Bex & April for hosting another fun read-a-thon, as well as all the other fellow read-a-thoners I met on Twitter :)
