Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Most Anticipated Books for 2013!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with oth!er bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists.
Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

So, My Top Ten Books & Authors I'm thankful for (in no particular order) are:

1. The Daylight War (Demon Cycle #3) by Peter V. Brett

I can gush about this series so much, because is my most fav epic fantasy series, and I've been waiting for this book for so long now, and this gorgeous cover & the description was finally revealed last week, and it's so gorgeous, and sounds so awesome, and yeah, I'm still dying to read it, so that's why it's my most anticipated book in 2013!

2. The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman

I think no explanations are necessary here, except it's Neil Gaiman's new book, duh, and when it comes to me, that says everything, 'cause he's my #1 fav author, and yeah, I'm dying to see what Neil Gaiman's brilliant mind has created now!

3. Chasing the Prophecy (Beyonders #3) by Brandon Mull

I loved the first book in the Beyonders series - A World Without Heroes -  so I expected the sequel Seeds of Rebellion to be good, but Brandon Mull actually blew me away with it, so of course now I can't wait to see how everything will end for Jason & Rachel & the others in the last book Chasing the Prophecy!

4. With All My Soul (Soul Screamers #7) by Rachel Vincent

I got hooked on the Soul Screamers series this year (thanks to Fiktshun's SSRC, if it wasn't for Rachel hosting this challenge, no idea when I would've read the series, or I even might have stopped halfway through, not realising what I would've missed) but I got hooked so bad, and now I can't wait for the final book to be published, and then I'm going to re-read the series once more, and I'm looking forward to it almost as much as I am to reading With All My Soul.

5. Isla & the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins

Ok, so the cover still isn't revealed, and ever since I read Stephanie Perkins' previous books, I've been waiting to read Josh & Isla's book, and finally this will be the year :) because we have a description, yay :)

Falling in love in the world’s most romantic city is easy for hopeless dreamer Isla and introspective artist Josh. But as they begin their senior year at the School of America in Paris, Isla and Josh are quickly forced to deal with the heartbreaking reality that happily-ever-afters aren’t always forever. Their romantic journey is skillfully intertwined with those of beloved couples Anna and Étienne and Lola and Cricket, whose paths are destined to collide in a sweeping finale certain to please fans old and new.

6. Midnight Blue-Light Special (InCryptid #2) by Seanan McGuire

I loved the first book Discount Armageddon, so I can't wait to see what Verity & her whole family will be up to in this sequel!

7. The Outside (The Hallowed Ones #2) by Laura Bickle

I loved this book so much, one of the best reads in 2012 for me, and I can't to see what will happen next in the sequel! I already got chills all over me just thinking about it :)

8. A Witch Alone (Winter #3)  by Ruth Warburton

Ok, so I still haven't read the 2nd book A Witch in Love, but I loved the first book A Witch in Winter so much, and I'm hoping to read the 2nd one soon, after all I already own it, so I'm already looking forward to the last one A Witch Alone :)

9. The Rising (Darkness Rising #3) by Kelley Armstrong

Ok, another confession to make, I've read only the Darkest Powers trilogy so far, but I'm planning to read these books, too, before The Rising is out, and I'm eagerly waiting for it because of the well-loved characters that will be back in it, that's why :)

10. Of Triton (Of Poseidon #2) by Anna Banks

Ok, for the last place on my top 10, I decided for the sequel of Of Poseidon - Of Triton! I enjoyed a lot Of Poseidon, it was lots of fun, so I'm really looking forward to reading the sequel.

Of course, there are a lot more 2013 books I'm anticipating, but I decided to skip special mentions, because I guess I can go on & on...

  1. I haven't read a lot of these books, admittedly, but have heard of some. But great choice with With All My Soul! I LOVE the Soul Screamers and the SSRC was a blast! :) Can't wait to see how the series end, but I don't wanna say goodbye to it.

    1. Yeah, I love the series & Tod & Kaylee so much, and I'm actually torn between not wanting it to end because I have a feeling it would be heartbreaking, yet awesome, and dying to see how the series will end.

But, because I love re-reading my fav books & series, I know I'll love re-reading the series, too :)

  2. Wait wait wait..the hallowed ones will have a sequel? When did that happen. I had no idea. Jezz I should pay more attention.
Anyway I see you have Gaiman on your list xD Lucky you. Zafon hasn't announced any new books and I want to cry.

    1. Yeah, I had no idea, too, until a while ago. I thought it will be stand alone, but before I read it a fellow blogger said that he can't wait for the sequel, and now that I read it, I can't wait for it, too :) The Hallowed Ones doesn't ends with a cliffhanger, but it's definitely not over, and I'm dying for more. The only think we have so far is the title.

And yeah, I'm so excited for Gaiman's book, it's been so long since he published a full-length novel. The last one was The Graveyard Book in 2008. You at least have Prisoner of Heaven to look forward to this year, unless you already read it :)
