ONE KISS CAN LAST FOREVER
Becca Thorpe has uprooted her life and escaped to the beach. Now's her chance to get away from city living, throw caution to the ocean winds, and live in the moment. Especially if the moment includes the deliciously sexy surfer she meets shortly after arriving in Lucky Harbor. Something about the dark intensity of Sam's eyes and the thrill she gets at his touch convinces her to stay awhile.
Boatbuilder and investment genius Sam Brody is a self-made man who knows how dangerous it can be to mix business and pleasure. But he can't resist offering Becca a job just to hear her laugh and have her near. Yet when her brother comes to town asking for help, will he tempt her back to her glamorous life in the city? Or do Sam and little Lucky Harbor have a chance to win Becca's heart?
My Thoughts on the Book:
It's in His Kiss was absolutely amazing! I knew it will be good, it's a Jill Shalvis book and part of the Lucky Harbor series, but I was still surprised. This one just might be my most favorite Lucky Harbor novel so far. And I'm so sad when I think about the fact that the series will be over soon, because I don't want it to end... So, if you still haven't started the series, you must! It's in His Kiss is the first book in the last Lucky Harbor trilogy! And from this beginning, and meeting Sam, Cole & Tanner, and learning about them, their past & their friendship, I'm already dying to read the rest of the books! I will probably read Cole & Olivia's story any day now.I absolutely adored both Sam & Becca as characters. They just might be my favorite Lucky Harbor couple so far, and Becca is probably my favorite heroine. She has been through a lot, but I loved the fact that she stands up for herself now, and works on getting the new beginning she deserves, and doesn't wallow in the past. Sure, she has some baggage (who doesn't), but I loved her way of dealing with it, even though she ran away, she doesn't do that any more. She also made me laugh, she was fun, sweet, talented, and so nice. She just got under my skin, and I adore her & Sam's story.Sam was also so awesome. I won't go into details about him because it will spoil the story, but he is one amazing guy, and I loved the interactions between him & Becca. They were so amazing together. The overall storyline was interesting & so entertaining, with lots of lovable characters (old & new), quirky situations, funny dialogues, and yummy, fun, sweet & sizzling interactions between the main characters. I absolutely adored Becca & Sam's story, from the way they met, the way they got close & got to know each other, to the way they fell for each other, I loved every second of it. It's definitely one of my favorite contemporary romances now, and definitely the perfect summer read, so I highly recommend It's in His Kiss, as well as the Lucky Harbor series!
