Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

I still haven't started Firespell, but I plan to read it after I finish The Name of the Wind, so instead of sharing another teaser from The Name of the Wind, here are my teasers from Firespell:
"I tilted my head as I surveyed the statues. Was it weird that nuns had been guarded by tiny stone monsters? And were they supposed to keep people out...or in?"

I have seen this title around but am not familiar with the book. I am wondering what statues...gargoyles perhaps? I love gargoyles...even have some as bookends. Anyway, I think I will keep this one on my radar.
