Summary:

A Special Holiday Novella!

On the first day of Christmas, Dina Gregory, former wild child and prodigal daughter returns home to New York on a mission. Finding her young son’s father and making him take responsibility for the child he created is the only thing on her wish list. But instead of finding the man she was looking for she runs into his stuffy older brother Ben.

Ben has never liked Dina, but being trapped together on the holidays allows him to see a different side of her. She brings back his Christmas spirit and in the process reminds him what it feels like to love.  Dina’s past makes her wary of falling in love, but Ben is determined to make her stay as his permanent Christmas gift.

My Thoughts on the Novella:

This novella is part of the Perfect Fit series, but actually it can stand as stand-alone story, and since I haven't read the first book, I wasn't feeling lost at all, though it seems Dina - the heroine - had made an appearance in it, and we did get to meet the hero & heroine of the first book in this novella. I really enjoyed this holiday-themed novella, and I'm definitely interested in reading a full-length Perfect Fit novel, and I actually got approved for the next one Thrown for a Curve, which sounds like fun, and I'm really looking forward to reading it soon.

I really liked Dina as a character. It seems she had changed quite a lot after she had her son Dash (I adored him), and I liked that we get to learn who she was before, and who she is now, and it wasn't overdone, and she was really developed character, especially for a novella.

I also really liked Ben. I felt sorry for him, for what he had lost, and because he couldn't move on, he had been stuck in his past for such a long time, so I was really happy for him, and the hope that started blossoming in him when he saw Dash, as well as Dina, too. It was like suddenly a ray of sunshine fell on him, and as I said, I felt happy for him.

The story was sweet & fun, the romance was cute, and the chemistry between Ben & Dina was really good, and I liked them quite a lot as a couple.

Overall, I really enjoyed this novella, it's the perfect read for the holidays, despite the fact that I read it long after they were over, and I recommend it!
