Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Want to Reread!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created & hosted @ The Broke and the Bookish.
For more info about it, check out the post HERE.

Ok, so, I love rereading. For me, there's nothing better then rereading a book or series that I've loved, and falling in love with it once again, even though I know what will happen...

And there are those books that I'll never get enough of, and I can read them again & again, even every year. (If only I had the time to reread all of my top favs every year, but I have to choose. Also, that's why I have this rule of not reading the same book more than once a year, or I might be stuck rereading a fav again & again. So, the rule was necessary for me.)

Anyway, some of my top favs that I've reread (some lots of times) & will read again in the future are: almost all of the full-length books by Neil Gaiman: Stardust, Anansi Boys, The Graveyard Book, Good Omens (with Terry Pratchett), Neverwhere, Coraline & The Ocean at the End of the Lane; the Harry Potter series, Markus Zusak's I Am the Messenger, Ernest Cline's Ready Player One, Peter V Brett's Demon Cycle series, Cinda Williams Chima's Seven Realms series, Marc Levy's Seven Days for an Eternity, James Rollins's Excavation, Dean Lorey's Nightmare Academy trilogy, D. J. MacHale's Morpheus Road trilogy, Howl's Moving Castle, etc. I can go on & on.

But, for this TTT, I decided to list books & series that I've read only once, and I really want to reread, but haven't gotten around to them.

So, My Top Ten Books I Want to Reread are:

#1 - The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

I fell in love with this book a couple of years ago (and it is one of the most gorgeous editions that I own), and I've wanted to reread it, but haven't gotten around to it. I guess I'm waiting for the perfect time. When I finally reread it, I want to shut myself from the real world with this magical book & reread it without anyone interrupting. So, that hasn't happened yet.

#2 - The Heir Chronicles 1-4 by Cinda Williams Chima

I read The Heir Chronicles trilogy (at that time) years ago, and loved it. And even though I wanted to reread it for years, I still haven't. And after the absolutely amazing 4th book last year, now I want to reread the 4 books, though I don't think it will happen before I read the final 5th book The Sorcerer Heir. So, the reread of the whole series will have to wait for some time in the future...

#3 - Eon / Eona duology by Alison Goodman

These two books are one amazing, epic & awesome fantasy story that I absolutely adored, and I've been looking forward to rereading it since the moment I read the final page of Eona, but still haven't gotten around to it.

#4 - The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rohfuss

Another read from years ago. I was planning to reread it closer to the release date of The Wise Man's Fear, but that didn't happen, so hopefully it will happen before the 3rd book is out. I need to catch up, but I must reread this one, before jumping into the 2nd book, and then the 3rd.

#5 - Unwind by Neal Shusterman

When I read Unwind years ago, it was a stand alone novel. It was one of the first dystopians that I've read, and even now years later, I still remember it in details, so it's one of those rare unforgettable books, and it's still one of the best dystopians that I've read. I've wanted to read it again, but haven't. After the sequels were announced, I wanted to reread it before picking up the sequels, but I haven't. And now that the final book is out, hopefully I'll find time to reread Unwind, and then read the rest of the series, because I'm pretty sure the rest will be as amazing as the 1st book.

#6 - American Gods by Neil Gaiman

American Gods is the only full-length novel by Neil Gaiman that I'm yet to reread. I want to read it again, and I'll probably do that some time next year. I always reread a few of Neil Gaiman's books every year. After all, he's my #1 fav author.

#7 - The Skinjacker trilogy by Neal Shusterman

The Skinjacker trilogy is so unique, imaginative & fun, and so entertaining & lovable, and I adored every second of it. A top fav that I still haven't gotten around to rereading, but I will!

#8 - Lockwood & Co. 1 & 2 by Jonathan Stroud

Lockwood & Co. is one of the newer series that I've fallen in love with. Both The Screaming Stairscase last year & The Whispering Skull this year were amazing, and joined my list of top favs, and I really want to reread them back to back, and hopefully will before the 3rd book is published.

#9 - The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey

I loved The Monstrumologist, the 1st book in the series. I read it years ago, too. I think that at the time, the 2nd book still wasn't out or just got published, and I was eager to read more, but still haven't. Also, I wanted to read it again the moment I finished it, but haven't yet. And now that the final book is out, I have some rereading & catching up to do. Another series to go through in 2015. It seems for me, 2015 will be the year for reading book series back to back ;)

#10 - Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan

Another series I've read years ago, and I've been hoping & wanting to reread, but still haven't. Hopefully, some day...

Special mention:

~ The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

The Book Thief is one of the best books I've ever read!!! If you've read it, you know why. Also, it's one of those rare memorable & unforgettable books that I remember in details, despite the fact I've read it only once years ago. I've actually been planning to reread it for a couple of years now, but earlier this year, the 1st time I tried watching the movie The Book Thief, I realised that I just can't read it again... It took me 3 tries to calm myself to watch the movie, and that NEVER happens. Then again, I've never bawled my eyes out like I did while reading The Book Thief, and I also had to stop reading to calm myself, so I can continue reading, and that never happens to me, too. So, yes, The Book Thief is one of a kind. I still might reread it some time in the future, but The Book Thief just might be the only book that I want to reread, but never will. And that's weird, especially because I reread Zusak's I Am the Messenger every year since the 1st time I read it!
