I loved Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain. It was one of my first favorite books as a child (I loved Huckleberry Finn, too) and I've read it lots of times, although I haven't read it in years. I think what I loved about it was the adventure in it!

There are two motives for reading a book:
one, that you enjoyed it;
the other, that you can boast about it!
- Bertrand Russell
"Stories are like spiders, with all they long legs, and stories are like spiderwebs, which man gets himself all tangled up in but which look so pretty when you see them under a leaf in the morning dew, and in the elegant way that they connect to one another, each to each."
from Neil Gaiman's Anansi Boys
I've read Huck Finn, but never made it to Tom Sawyer. I like Twain well enough, but he's just not a favorite of mine!
