I'll post my updates on this post as I read for the read-a-thon.
On Twitter we (read-a-thoners) will use the hashtag #HSreadathon.
What I'll be reading?
This time I'm not making a reading list, except for my first read that I already chose (since I'm writing this in advance & scheduling it to go up when the read-a-thon starts) - The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. After that, no idea, wherever the mood takes me.
Wrap Up:
Ok, so this read-a-thon didn't go as I planned & hoped it will.I didn't read anything on Monday, on Tuesday I started The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey, and I read some from Alif the Unseen by G. Willow Wilson (a previously started book & a re-read). Seeing as I wasn't quite feeling up to reading at all, I decided to try something else, so on Wednesday I read the graphic novel The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish by my #1 fav author Neil Gaiman & illustrated by Dave McKean, and then I started re-reading Good Omens by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett, and I also started Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte on Wednesday, so it was a day filled with reading. But, I didn't read anything on both Thursday & Friday. On Saturday I read from Alif the Unseen, Wuthering Heights & Good Omens, and on the last day I read from both Alif the Unseen & Good Omens, but I didn't finished any of these.I wouldn't say it was a total fail, since I made a dent in 4 books, and if I didn't jump around 4 different books, I would've finished more than one graphic novel, but for the 4 days I managed to read a little, I still did good, and I will probably (hopefully) finish these 4 books this week.
Once again one big THANK YOU to Michelle for hosting this read-a-thon!
I have been wanting to read The 5th Wave since everyone is raving about it. I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
Thanks, Alexa :)
DeleteThe 5th Wave, I haven't read that yet either (thought I was only one!).Happy reading and good luck with read-a-thon.
ReplyDeleteNew follower.
Thanks, Greg!
DeleteI like the 'where the mood takes me approach'...I need to do that myself some time...if I'm never involved in any read-a-longs. The 5th Wave looks good.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
I usually make these long reading lists, and I end up straying from them, so this time, I decided against them. First, The 5th Wave, since I should read it soon, and next, who knows? ;)
DeleteGood luck with the read-a-thon!! Happy Reading!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mel :)
DeleteIt sounds like you pretty much read just like I do. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. =O) I'm glad you joined us again. Looking forward to the next one in the Fall. Hope you will be with us again!
