#174 - "Dead and Kicking" by Wendy Roberts

Summary:
Sadie Novak cleans up crime scenes for a living and is also blessed - or cursed - with the gift of second sight. This time she's digging out the home of a compulsive hoarder. She discovers unexpected things, including an angry ghost who wants her to go away. And there are even more secrets beneath the surface that someone will kill to keep buried.

My rating: 3 of 5

My thoughts on the book:
I have to admit that I was disappointed with this one! I loved the previous 2 books in the series, so when compared - this one was lacking a lot! I just didn't liked where the story with Zack was going! Also, it felt for me like the mystery was the subplot, not the main plot! Overall, it was ok & I still enjoyed it & I'll definitely read the next book in the series when it'll be released (I just hope it'll be as good as the first 2 books). Also, I have to admit that I prefered the covers of the previous 2 books. This one is cute, but I loved those more!

#164 - "Dating Can Be Deadly" by Wendy Roberts

Summary:

Single Clairvoyant Seeks Partner in Crime

Some gifts are easy to return-like the parrot earrings from Aunt Ruth-but when your gift is clairvoyance, Tabitha Emery finds there is a definite No Refund Policy. Now she's having visions of black magic rituals and dismembered bodies, and she's not sure what to do. She didn't ask for this talent and certainly doesn't want it, but it clings to her like a thong and is just as uncomfortable.

Tabitha's goals are simple ones: A) to rise above law office receptionist B) to spend Friday nights uncovering the mysteries of butterscotch schnapps with her comrades, and C) to procure more than a passing glance from Clay Sanderson (Greek-god-type lawyer).

But her second sight has turned her life upside down-and now she finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation where the only clues are in her persistent premonitions-making her not only the key to solving the mystery but perhaps a suspect, as well. (On the plus side: she could use some legal advice, so now she and Clay have something to talk about.)

And somewhere in the middle of all this is the real culprit, the mystery man, who wants this clairvoyant dead...

My rating: 2.5/5

My thoughts on the book:
This book was fun chick-lit/cozy mystery, but nothing special! I've already read 2 other books by Wendy Roberts which I loved, so I guess  I was expecting a little more, but since this was her first book, it's understandable why it's not as good as her Ghost Dusters series! The characters were ok, the mystery was ok, but I didn't really connect with the characters or the romance & I guessed who the killer is too soon. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I'd call it ok & even likable!

#38 - "Devil May Ride" by Wendy Roberts

Summary:
When Sadie and her sexy partner Zack stumble on evidence of a chilling cult ritual in an abandoned meth lab, Sadie comes face to face with an evil spirit unlike any she's ever seen before. And it's no coincidence that a bundle of stolen cash turns up at her next crime scene just in time to convince a biker gang that Sadie made off with their money. She knows the threads are connected - but how?

My thoughts on the book:
I loved it! This is the second book in the Ghost Dusters series & I enjoyed it even more than the first one. It was fast-paced with lots of twists & I couldn't put it down until I finished it. I'll definitely read the third book in the series, too. I recommend it & I recommend the series!

My rating: 5/5

#37 - "The Remains of the Dead" by Wendy Roberts

Summary:
Sadie Novak's got the kind of job that kills cocktail chatter dead: she owns Scene-2-Clean a crime scene cleanup company. And if wiping up after murders weren't spooky enough, she can also see and talk to the ghosts of the victims...
When grieving relatives hire Sadie and her employee, ex-cop Zack Bowman, to clean up after the murder-suicide of Trudy and Grant Toth, Sadie figures she's bound to meet at least one chatty ghost. But Kent, the man Sadie first encounters at the scene, is very much alive--so much so, that Sadie soon finds herself agreeing to a date with him.
Then a real ghost shows up--the oddly silent spirit of Trudy, who seems determined to prove that her husband's innocence, and inspires Sadie to track down the real killer. But as she scours the crime scene, Sadie quickly realizes she's in way over her head, that Kent has a strange connection to the dead couple, and that someone wants her to give up the ghost...for good.

My thoughts on the book:
This is the first book in the Ghost Dusters Mystery series & I loved it. It was fun, fast-paced, enjoyable & I loved the storyline & the characters. I couldn't put it down & I definitely recommend it!
