This week's theme is freebie, so I thought I'll do a Top Ten Authors I'd Love to Meet. I thought it would be an easy one, but when I started doing my list, I realised there were a lot more then 10 I'd love to meet, so in the end I decided to do a list with only male authors, and when there'll be freebie again, I'll do a list with 1o female authors I'd love to meet :)
So, My Top Ten Male Authors I'd Love to Meet are :
~Neil Gaiman
I love Neil Gaiman's writing style & unique stories, and he is & always will be my #1 favourite author. I've read & loved most of his works!
~ Neal Shüsterman
I love Neal Shüsterman's books, too. I've read so far only Unwind a couple of years ago (I still remember it in details - amazing & unforgettable) and I also loved his Skinjacker trilogy, which was so imaginative & sweet & funny & amazing, so yeah, I absolutely love his writing style, and I'm definitely planning to read the rest og his books, and of course I'd love to meet him, too. I'm sometimes really amazed from some of the authors imagination & their way with words, and after Neil Gaiman - Neal Shüsterman is definitely the second one I've been blown away with :)
~ Markus Zusak
The Book Thief & I Am the Messenger - should I say anything more? Absolutely amazing & one of the best books I've ever read - if you haven't read these books, you absolutely should! Now I should get the Underdogs Omnibus, because I have to read more from Markus Zusak!!!
~ John Green
Ok, so this is the only one author on this list (or overall) that I'd absolutely love to meet, but I still haven't tried his books. I'm actually a little ashamed of that fact - I've been postponing reading them for such a long time, but I'm planning to rectify that soon. But, why I want to meet him when I haven't tried his books? You guessed right - I'm a big fan of his & Hank's vlogs, that's why, and I know his books will be amazing!!!
~ D. J. MacHale
I tried D.J. MacHale's first Pendragon book years ago, and I loved it, but still haven't catched up with the rest of the series (a total of 10 books in a series kinda scares me now), but I'm planning to :) And, I absolutely love his Morpheus Road trilogy, and I highly recommend it. Also, I watched Are You Afraid of the Dark? when I was little, and it was one of my fav series, so that's another reason why I'd love to meet him :)
~ Peter V. Brett
Another author I'd love to meet because I love his books is Peter V. Brett - the author of one of my most fav fantasy series: The Demon Cycle. I'd love to meet him and yeah, get my books signed - I do have a signed & personalized bookplate from him that I absolutely love and that in the end I decided to put it in my copy of his novella Brayan's Gold :) but yeah, I'd love to have the rest of them signed, too... Wishful thinking...
~ James Rollins
James Rollins is also one of my fav authors, that's why! If you love a good adventure - I highly recommend his books. I still haven't read all of them, but the ones I have I've loved (or at least enjoyed a lot) and my fav will always be Excavation, because that's the 1st one of his books I've ever read, so will always have a special place in my heart, and I can't even say how many times I've read it :)
~ John Corey Whaley
I loved John Corey Whaley's debut Where Things Come Back, and a while ago I watched an interview with him, and he's so funny, that's why :) I'll definitely read anything else he writes in the future :) So, if you haven't read this book, I highly recommend it!!!
~ Marc Levy
If Marc Levy's books weren't in French, I would've read them all until now - I just love his writing style :) But I have to wait (and hope) that they'll all be translated & published here. So far I've read only 3 of them (two in Macedonian & one in Serbian), but thankfully another one was published here a while ago, so I'm definitely going to buy it :) I know that only a few have been translated in English, too, so I can't even get them in English :( The movie Just Like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon & Mark Ruffalo is an adaptation of his amazing novel If Only It Were True.
~ Ernest Cline
I love Ready Player One - one of the best & fav books I've read, and a book I can't get enough of, so yeah I'd love to meet the author & get my copy signed :) Although I was only born in the 80s, and I grew up in the 90s, since I was little I've loved all the 80s things mentioned in this book, so yeah, this book has a special place in my heart & I'd love to meet the one responsible for it ;)
I would loveee to meet Markus Zusak, John Green, and Neil Gaiman as well! Great list! :D
