It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is being hosted by Sheila at One Persons Journey through a World of Books.
This is a great weekly event where everyone can keep track of the books finished last week & the books planning to read this week!
Last week I've finished:
- Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins - I loved it!
- The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien - I loved it!
- Monster Madness by Dean Lorey - I loved it!
- Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card - I loved it!
I loved Good Omens when I read that awhile back. I need to read my 3 Who books..and then get a few with 11, however I prefer the ones with 10, because...well I like looking at David Tennant on the cover of my books.
ReplyDeleteHex Hall is one I would like to read sometime. Happy reading this week.
ReplyDeleteI want to read Hex Hall. I've heard good things about it. Happy reading this week. :)
ReplyDeleteWow you are four for four this week. But then all of your books were really love inspiring reads the only one I have not read is Monster Madness will stop by later to check out the review. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteYou really read an interesting mix of books. I had read Good Omens and enjoyed it though I didn't get all of the references since I don't know anything about the horsemen of the apocalypse. Ender's Game I read many years ago and have been intending to reread, since I completely forgot what its about. I'm not much of a Tolkien fan though, as I found his books kind of boring (though I wouldn't admit this on my blog for fear of the repercussions;) )
ReplyDeleteI loved Hex hall too - wasnt that a fun read? Enjoy all the great books you have coming up this week!
ReplyDeleteMistress of the Dark, I have to read 4 Doctor Who books this month for my Doctor Who challenge! I prefer the books with the 10th Doctor, too :)
ReplyDeleteSimcha, I read The Hobbit last autumn & although I liked it, I wasn't too impressed, so I was reluctant about reading LotR, but I loved the 1st one & I'll definitely read the rest ;)
I've been seeing Hex Hall all around the blogosphere...I'm still not certain that it's a book I'd enjoy, but it's grabbing a lot of readers.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Monday:

Heard great things about hex hall
ReplyDeleteI read the book Enchantment by Orson Scott Card and really enjoyed the read. I have been meaning to read Ender's Game, and it seems I ought to considering everyone who has read it loves it. :D
ReplyDeleteI have an ARC for Hex Hall that was given to me by a friend. I keep forgetting about it, but when I see that others have loved it...I really need to remember this book.
The Fellowship of the Ring...don't know what is wrong with me but every time attempt these books I fail. I, for whatever reason, am overwhelmed by them and I certainly do not avoid chunkster type books.
Hope you have a great week!
Ibeeeg, it's not only you! I've had the LotR books for almost 10 years & this is the first time I read one! Ender's Game is really great book, that I recommend it! Also, Hex Hall is fun with quite a few twists & I can't wait for the next one!
ReplyDeleteGreat books - have fun!
ReplyDeleteI loved Good Omens. Despite my love for most of Gaiman's works and the Anansi folk tales, I didn't like Anansi Boys. I found both main character displeasing and didn't want to spend time with either. I did go through the book and read the Anansi folktales that were included. I liked most of those.
ReplyDeleteI know I don't have to participate in the challenge, but there are a lot of interesting books here that I will have to add to my must read list.
ReplyDeleteI loved Good Omens. I like Neil Gaiman's American Gods and Neverwhere better than Anasazi Boys but they are all interesting.
